On a tandem flight, you experience the landscape as a passenger together with a trained pilot. The Tegelberg offers a backdrop of mountains, lakes and royal castles. Approved providers organize the flight and explain the process on site.
Execution depends on weather and flight conditions. Ask the provider directly about requirements, time required, clothing and meeting point. A free vacation day with a little leeway is better than a tight schedule between two other appointments. The responsible provider decides whether and how the flight takes place.

If you want to learn to fly yourself, a course at a flight school is the right way to get started. You will learn about equipment, basics and practical exercises under supervision. A trial offer differs significantly from a tandem flight: the focus here is on learning.
The flight school Tegelberg describes various training offers and current dates. Clarify in advance which course suits your goals and your time budget. For a stay of several days, the training can be combined with overnight stays in Füssen. The exact course organization and flight conditions remain with the provider.

If not everyone wants to fly, you can still plan the trip together. Around the Tegelberg there are viewpoints, the cable car and the summer offers at the valley station. Hohenschwangau, the royal castles and the Alpsee await in the surrounding area.
Arrange the meeting point to suit the actual flight schedule and keep the daily plan flexible. For a family outing, we present the toboggan run and other ideas on our family page. If you prefer to walk, you will find the short Königsrunde from the mountain station on the hiking side.

The Breitenberg at Pfronten is a flight area with several takeoff sites. You can reach the Hochalpe by cable car; When you look over the meadows and peaks, you can understand why the mountain also attracts paragliders and hang gliders. The Breitenbergbahn names flight schools and providers for tandem flights. For a flight with a pilot, you can clarify the weather window, meeting point and personal requirements. Above Buching there is a flying area at Buchenberg with a wide view over the foothills of the Alps. Our own photos show paragliders on the mountain and the take-off area. You can reach the mountain station by chairlift; There you can combine a day of flying with views and refreshments.
For a tandem flight, contact one of the providers named by the operator. He will clarify with you the meeting point, the requirements and the appropriate weather conditions. If you fly yourself, you need the required authorizations and must observe the local flight operations regulations. A flight date remains dependent on wind and weather.
