The Romantic Road connects Würzburg with Füssen. Our town is the southern end of this holiday route, which can also be explored by bike or on foot. The route and stages vary depending on how you travel. You can find the appropriate map from the Romantic road; Füssen Tourism introduces the holiday roads around Füssen.
Whether you finish your journey in Füssen, take a break here or set off northwards, Bavaria City Hostel offers accommodation in the heart of the old town. From Reichenstraße you can explore the lanes on foot and combine your stay with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle connect.

Cyclists will find a covered bicycle parking space in the inner courtyard and an e-bike charging station. After a stage of hiking, a shoe dryer and the communal kitchen are available. You can use the washing machine and dryer for a fee. There is space on the roof terrace for a break after the day's travel.

Allow time for Füssen between your arrival and onward journey. The old town is right outside the hostel. For the royal castles in Hohenschwangau, plan a separate excursion and allow time to reach the castle. Visiting advice and official ticket links are on our Castle side.

If you want to continue your journey by train, the train station is within walking distance. Check connections and whether you can take your bike with you for your travel day with the relevant transport company. Where is the accommodation on the Romantic Road?
The Bavaria City Hostel is located at Reichenstraße 15 in the old town of Füssen, at the southern end of the Romantic Road. It takes about three minutes to get to the train station.
Can I store my bike?
Yes, there is a covered bicycle parking space and an e-bike charging station in the inner courtyard. After your tour, you can also use the communal kitchen and roof terrace.
Is the hostel also suitable for hikers and groups?
